Suzy Hammell is an experienced Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor. Suzy provides supervision to registered psychologists, clinical psychologists, clinical psychology registrars, and to provisional psychologists completing either the 5+1 program or a higher degree pathway. Suzy has extensive experience providing clinical supervision in autism, intellectual disability, mental health, school psychology, and working with children, young people, and families.
Suzy has been the practice leader for psychologists and social workers at Australia’s largest autism-specific service provider and has provided supervision, training/workshops, and consultation services to a range of health professionals in the areas of autism and mental health. Suzy also has experience working in schools, private practice, hospitals, and not for profit organisations. Her approach is person-centred and evidence-based, drawing from a range of modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and attachment-based frameworks.
Suzy’s supervision style is based on a developmental approach and is tailored to the needs of the individual. Suzy provides individual supervision via telehealth. Supervision is available on an ongoing or as needed basis.
Note. Suzy is also available to provide secondary supervision for provisional psychologists completing the 4+2 pathway. Suzy is not currently offering clinical placements or group supervision.
